Portland, OR hosted BikeSummer! 2002, and is located in the Tualatin Valley, which in the early 19th century the valley was inhabited by the Atfalati, a hunter-gatherer Kalapuyan band of that spoke a dialect of Northern Kalapuyan.

Thanks to a tip from an SF Indymedia worker and Portland's Shift2bikes, the cycle of BikeSummer! fun has been cruising in fun ever since 2002.

Pedalpalooza carries San Francisco's BikeSpring! right into summer, with a calendar of events now filling up from June 7 to June 23, 2007. Stay the course, velorutionaires!
